run

Post by sic_zook »

next time theres an extreme run people with open diffs n little clearance shouldent go couse it sux for the ones stuck behind them for hours n the ones infrount that have 2 drag them though every mud hole n shit. if not for that i think it would have been an awesome run but when its about 12 oclock n your not even made it 2 checkpoint 1 it was better to turn around n go home like a couple more did

I agree usally they have a min requirement eg-1 diff lock, mud tyres and be able to self recover. But still a big  to the logan club for putting on another night nav run.Don't know any other club that run 1 nav run per month. Can't wait for the next one :!:

I'm going to say I see an argument to either side here.

People need to make a step from hard to extreme at some stage, there will always be those at the top and lower end of capable. I personally fit into the three requirements mentioned bar a winch.

I did seek assistance last night and I'm sure I added to that delay. Are you also going to call foul on those that hold things up because things fail or break on their vehicles?? It would be pretty boring if everyone cleared through all the challenges without some drama.

On the flip side I certainly wouldn't have attempted stepping to the Extreme rating without the Locker and some expectation of getting through the challenges and a Min standard to each level should be clear.

EDIT; BTW, any pics being posted up anyone??
I'll give it a go......

i think the minimum standard was fairly well pointed out on the first page.

extreme run= expect self recovery, aggressive tyres and traction aids recomended.

any way i hope everyone had a good night and thanks for coming.
we should have some results up soon.

whats the damage report? sounds like there was a bit.

A big Thank You to the Logan Club and ALL the people who made it happen... we had a ball, yes, a bit slow in places, but hey, it's all part of the fun.

I shat myself a couple of times, which made the whole night even better! hehehehehe... I would also like to thank Andrew, Jeremy and Steve for all their help and verbal abuse ;)

Keep up the excellent work Logan, well done...

G'day all and thanks to everyone who turned out for the run on saturday night.Lucky the storm held off for sunday night.congrats to all who drove as far as they could. There was only four trucks to complete the whole run, two of which started last. And to those complaining about the delays, I have never been on a november extreme night run that has finished before 2.shit happens to us all and always in the worst spot. There are recomendations for what you need for the runs but it is up to the owner if they feel they are up to it.We don't have the time or the man power to go around to every vehicle to check for lockers, muddies etc.It is hard enough getting people to help set the runs up and man checkpoints and a huge thanks to all who did.In saying all that we had a ball and glad most people did too.

SHANE AND JULIE-180POINTS
STEVE AND KRUSTY-180POINTS
MICHAEL AND SONYA-170POINTS
CHRIS AND ANTHONY-130POINTS
BRETT AND JASON-65

Matt and I have held the last two runs so we can drive a few now.
Thanks,
