Front spring hangers can crack, and front spring perches on the diff can distort and destroy your springs.
I found cracks in the spot welds on the inner guards after 340,000kms too.
the 2.8D doesnt have the power to get out of its own way?

2005 HDJ100 Manual, ARB bar, XD9000 winch, ARB rooftop tent + awning, Drawers, Engel, 2" OME lift, 285/75R16 KM2's, iCom, HID XGT's.
Yeah front spring hanger where chassis joins on seen a fair few crack there the balls in pitman and j arms work loose centre bearings are common cracks in the body around where radiator bolts on and if it's has a snorkle cracks around the hole thats cut for that these 2 are more so if it has a body lift.
plenty of parts on the bench
Those are all usual signs of old age. Most LN106's are over 300k's now. If they've had a hard life those things will all be evident. The knuckle in the steering arm are quite common to chipping off and giving lots of play in the steering. Diff seals etc? Well all 4bys leak eventually. There's nothing too Hilux specific that'll fail. It's toyota. Unbreakable.
