3L GU Bonnet Scoops
Anyone know what they are worth from Nissan? Was hoping to go down today and find out but didn't get a chance. So I thought I'd post up and see if someone else has already done the legwork

yeah I might do that. When I went out on Sunday, I left the car running while I locked the hubs in. When I went around the passenger side I was amazed by the amount of hot air coming out of the hole where the snorkle used to be.

interesting, maybe fabricate something out of fiberglass, to direct the air from the rad out and down the transmission tunnel???

Temp is actually fine unless I go over 100kmh, then starts to warm up. Going to get new radiator as the old one is pretty shagged and put the GU scoop on, maybe 2 to make it even eh

Hi All
Something I've been thinking about for a while in this area is louvres. You know the pressed in bonnet type louvres that hot rodders and some rev heads put on their machines.
I was thinking you could put a bank of them facinf forward and some at the back of the bonnet facing rearward.
Would this work? How much would it cost? Does anyone know someone who'd do it?

sounds like it is pinging under load, maybe back the advance off a little. my truck was pinging at 110kph, with the blower. got hot really fast.

The only prob with this is you want to force as much to go thru the radiator as possible. So with front facing's it would probably reduce the flow thru radiator. Wheres a rear opening, it would draw the air out, and the it has to go in some where so hopefully thru the radiator.

cause if you have a big front ender, the bonnet will use your headrest for a stopping point taking your head with it!

how does that work.... you think air being drawn across the bonnet wood suck excess hot air out from within the engine bay... and hot air rises so it shood be able to escape from underneath the bonnet easier if the arse end of it is raised slightly
