GQ Brake Squeal

Post by Draven »

Hey Guys,

Ive got a darn loud squeal wheneva I use the brakes, I went out and got some of that silicon anti-brake squeal stuff, and it lasted for about 10Kms :)

I had a chat to a friend about it and he said that if the shims are missing you will get this squeal, but on inspection all the shims are in place and look happy enough.

Has anyone else had this problem?, There doesnt happen to be a great backyard fix does there?

Thanks again.

i got the same prob at the moment, i washed them out the other day, and this had stopped it for a while, but when i get the time, ill be having a closer look, i think i may have dirt or sand trapped somewhere.

sometimes putting a vertical slot thru the middle of the pad helps to clear dust and shit building up and causeing squealing, some pads you see already have this.
