Mq factory spare wheel and jerry can holder installation

Hey guys, i managed to pick one of these up today and it has all the bits i think i need BUT do you need any type of reinforcements on the inside of the car?? Just seems like alot of weight directly bolted to the body..

If there are supposed to be some kind of plate or something they bolt to will some big washers do the job.. Is there any way to guess where the holes should be?? or is it a chuck it up and mark the hole exercise..

They bolt to a plate on the inside of the bodywork.

Am gonna install with just bolts and very decent washers for now and when i have more time i will make up some plates for it.. Its only got a split rim going on it so shouldnt be too bad.

I cannot believe how hard it is to get to some of the bolts, its crazy.. Also those parts that hold the carrier when its in the closed position like a u shaped piece of rubber inside a metal bracket , anyone got any photo's of where they go?? One on top and one underneath??

Anyone?? I have it all up i just need to know the position of those things, they attach to the tailgate by the looks of it..

got mine off at the moment for a spray job will try to get some pics for you.
You really want some plates as there is a lot of weight hanging there even with just a split rim. I have just weld up at the bottom of mine as it has cracked around the hinge that is bolt to the body.
