Fox / FOA / Tough Dog Adjustable BOLT IN opinions please

Post by CWBYUP »

Looking for a 4" lift for my Twin Locked, 33's GQ T/D Ute.

The reason I am looking at bolt ins as I don't want to chop up the mounts to fit them.

My truck IS NOT a W/C Truck and never will be but I want something that gives decent flex but is nice to drive on road. I compete in Willowglen each year and like to play reasonable hard but dont want to sacrifice its on road handleing.

Current set up is 3" with XJS shocks and its got to much body roll on road.

I will be fitting it with drop boxs but the shocks & springs have me confused.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated, trying to do as much research as possible before spending the folding stuff.

Cheers Nick

I have a 4 inch lift in my truck and it rides really well on road and off road has heaps of flex. I use and swear by procomp shocks as they arent too hard and you can get them in many lengths to suit your specs/needs.

You will also need adjustable panhard rods and of course the drop boxes as you rightly mentioned.

the choice of coils is a personal one and will depend on what options you have fitted ie steel bar/winch/dual batts etc

give shane a call at suspension stuff, he really knows his stuff and he will definately gve you the right advice. try this https://www.suspensionstuff.com.au/shop/

good luck and post some pics when its done

Check out the Boss adjustable shocks.
New adjuster design so no more siezing and leaking.
41mm bore foam cell, 60mm body, 22mm shaft, 13 way adjustable.

Feedback from customers is much more comfortable then other shocks and can adjust them up for more control. Very happy.

Not as cheap as Procomps but cheaper then other shocks at $200 each. Cheaper if you get coils at the same time.

Longest lengths available now is 825mm extended. In a couple of months we will have 920mm and 1000mm.

I don't recommend any products I don't believe in so I believe in these shocks.
