Hilux Wiring Question

So, for some reason I have lost power to one of the wires in my car.
I have tried to follow wiring diagrams etc.

I have worked out what wire it is (as I have my ARB compressor, and my stereo spliced to it, and they both are not working.

I did wire up the switch for the compressor incorrectly, but I checked all fueses and can't find a burnt one.

So...

The wire is White with red and comes out of one of the plugs attached to the ignition barrel. It dissapears under the steering column into the loom.
Only other wire I can find that looks the same goes into the fuse box in the engine bay, (I checked where it goes in (it has power) but can see where it goes out).

The only other thing not working is the internal heater fan (just the fan), so I am guessing it is connected too.

So, can't work out if it is a fuse (Checked them all), but if someone has a list of the fuses, maybe i can narrow it down. Both in engine bay and kick pannel.

Um.. not sure what else to say...

Shoulda wired it seperately

there are 2 whie and red wires in that area, one is the flash function of the headlights and the other is main power for glow plug relay and starter wire etc.


there is a white and red coming into the barrell which is fused with a 30amp fuse... so id say the one in the enigne bay you found would be it, get a multimeter and test contunity from where it has power in the bay to inside the cab where it doesnt

Sometimes its hard to see if the fuse has blown or not. If you can identify which fuse is from that circuit, pull it out, check it with a multimeter. Also, check the fuse holder for voltage (both sides) If you can find 12V at the holder and the fuse is fine, keep looking behind the dash. If there is nothing at the fuse box, then the problem is between there andd under the bonnet.

Does the Hilux have fusible links close to the battery? If several fuse circuits have gone down with no blown fuse, that could be an explaination. If Richard from RRR has touched your wiring, there could be 1 loose connection that could disable the entire engine so check any of those crimp connecters.

Hope u have it sorted soon, we're about 3 years overdue for a drive!!!

From looking at the wiring diagrams for the truck, the wire that has lost power does run through a fusible link (which I visually checked).
I'll replace these and then go from there.

The wiring diagram also suggests that the wire runs straight from battery to ignition barrel, with no other auxileries, so fusible link I hope is the problem!

Also, does anyone have a diagram or can scan an image of what each fuse is for, I don't have the diagram on top of the fuse box.

For both the fuses in the drivers side kick pannel and the fuses under bonnet near battery.
