Dropped pitman arm vs Stocker

G'day guys -

On my Sierra I have a dropped pitman arm, but was thinking of changing it for a stocker as I have OTT steering.
Reason I want to change it is that the tierod will hit the pitman arm if I move the diff forwards, but hopefully it will clear a stocker arm.

Question is how far does a stock pitman arm drop compared to the 3 inch (I think) arm that I currently have?

Also, how much are stockers, and is anyone selling one?

It is still in the stock location, but I want to do a RUF eventually.

I have just done my suspension up and done a Ruf. Raised it 3 inch all round. I had to buy a 3 " dropped arm. You dont need to move your diff forward. just drill the fixed end holes back 25 mm and run 1'5 extended shackels. Also drill your main leaf holes back 20mm. If you do this your diff will sit roughly in the same spot. Before i moved the fixed end back 25mm if i hit a big bump my shackels would go over centre and drop onto the spring.
i say maintain your dropped pitman arm. I got a stock one you can have for 30 bucks plus postage if u really want but my calmini 3" dropped arm doesnt hit even at full flex with my ruff set up

I would have argued you should have just drilled the perch and the ubolt plate so you achieved the same result and didn't weaken the spring.

I got my springs drilled before they were curved and tempered at a spring shop
