fuel tanks

Post by wyliespatrol »

Is there any reason there not made from stainless? (Static?)

I was thinking of making my own because stainless tanks are what we do.
And wanted to know if there was a reason why I can’t use stainless, as will use mild steel if I have to

Can you make your own fuel tank or dose it need to be approved?

Thanks:
Chris

stainless is " in danger" of cracking in a 4wd

but it depends on how ridgid the mounting area for the tank is.
