i can get a tompson 8000lb winch for $300. questions are are they a good winch? and will it be big enough for my gq wagon?

Is it an electric or PTO version. Both have the same worm drive head.
I have one on mine and it is briliant. I have found it stronger than larger
rated Warns and the such, have been able to do much longer recoveries
with my electric one than any others we had with us.
They are very strong and reliable as long as in a decent condition.
A much lower power draw on the electric ones, witch gives alot longer run
time than or the normal one, The only draw back I have noticed is they are slow, even with no load on them.
