80 series turbo diesel idle

Post by esp22 »

Hi, the idle on my turbo diesel 80 series keeps varying between 800 and 1000rpm whether the engine be hot or cold...do all engines do this or is there something wrong?

Thanks

is your aircon on, maybe there is a problem with the cold start idle up on your injector pump.

they do that when the idle is to low, if you rest your foot on the throttle and rase the revs a little does it stop doing it?
