rear bumpstop distance for 3 inch lifts

hi,

I am trying to work out how my shorty is going to fit in the really low garage door at my new apartment.

Basically I have what I thought was a 4 inch lift.

The rear standard bumpstop gap is 175mm.

The total height of the rear of the car is 1980mm.

The lowest point of my new entry is 1940mm.

I don't want to lower the whole car to a 2inch lift but if a 3inch worked that would be good.
So depending on what people have experienced with heights I will either try a 3inch soft spring or go airbags in the rear so I can lower it when I need to.

The shorty only has a gas tank and tow bar in the back, no other extra weight normally. But I do load it up pretty good and will put back the ARB roof cage for when I go camping.

The positives of the right springs are cost and simplicity.

The positive of the bags is I might actually get a nice ride out of the thing and will be able to clear the garage easy.


Any help or experience would be much appreciated.

is taking the 2 inch body lift out an option...it would be a cost effective way of reducing your vehicle height by 50mm which will see you get under the new garage....

hows ya bags gona go at ormeau (go to 13 inch rims???????) take out the body lift my sugestion
