80 Series Mirrors

Post by tas80 »

Busted a mirror off my 80 GXL off road, does anyone know if I can replace the electric mirror with a manual one as I can get these a lot cheaper, I'm just not sure if the mounting bolt pattern is the same as Toyota is prone to changing these things between base model and GXL to make life difficult.

They are all the same mounting as I upgraded my manual ones to electric.
I've gone through a couple of aftermarket manual ones and they all wobble/vibrate.

I would try a wreckers or pay the price, you don't want manual ones ;)

How hard is it to change to electric?
Only ask because adjusting the passenger mirror is a pain in the arse.
