DIY freespool (for hi-mount winch)

Post by Michele »

Home-built freespool anyone?

Lot of other stuff to worry about, but...just out of curiosity I'd like to find out more about this.

Judgin from the pics on the web I see a pneumatic actuator (easy to find),
a custom bracket (ok)...and...?
How to make it work?:?

Also any hint for building a smaller diam drum for the 8274 the proper way?

:D

why smaller?

would it not reduce line speed, reduce the amount of rope on the first layer.....

it would give you a greater pull......
