Need help with V8 Patrol problem

Post by smurf »

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone could help with a problem I've got on my VN V8 patrol, my park brake light and batt. light come on every now and then for a short time when driving,I have noticed when the wipers are on and the lights come on the wipers go a bit faster than normal, now all connections are tight ,new battery, new alt.( VN V8 one ),just wondering if its the regulator,if there is one (don't remember see one in it when I did the conversion ) or was it on the nissan alt. , if not where is it :?: or do I need a holden one, just wondering if anyone else who's done the conversion has had the same problem.Any info would be great thanks..

Cheers Mick...

dont know bout the batt light but my handbrake light used to come on when going around corners fast. freaked me out the first time as id just bought the car and thought it was the oil pressure light.

edit; whoops i didnt answer the question.

turned out to be a shitty button thingy on the handbrake was too low or something and my handbrake didnt reach it properly. the button is on the floor under the handbrake.
turbos are nice but i'd rather be blown

The park brake light is also a warning for brake fluid level so check that as well.
