Post by terradog »

hi guys,

wondering what people end up paying for a 1uz conversion in their hiluxs.. what gearbox is the strongest for this setup if i would be running twin transfers, 37's and 39's?

cheers

About $5000.00 and up. It all depends on how much you can do your self.

Got a price about 7 years ago from bullet engineering for $10,000 drive in/drive out.

yeh thought it would be a bit pricey. i can get a 1uz complete.. cheap from a family i know in dubbo that are moving back to the city and wont have space anymore.... but might just wait to save a bit more money up for it then for the conversion itself.. cheers

Mine was about $6k, but I put in a R150 box at the same time and i did heaps of the work myself.

Good luck with it if you decide to go ahead.
