How much lift will I need to get 35's under my 85 Hilux.
I only want them under just, not with masses of room above the wheel on level ground.

35's on an 85 Hilux

I agree with error, I had 35's with 2 inch lift, 2 inch body and moved the front diff forward, won't do it again.
Next time 2 inch lift (wich way you do this is your choice) and some work with the grinder and touch up paint, keeps the centre of gravity lower but you still get the benifit of bigger rubber. The body lift isn't going to get you any further up the hill!!!!
