Landcruiser 1FZ 93 Dual Fuel Electrical problem

Post by bushpig59 »

Hi Guys n Gals...Went for a drive in the 80 Series did a few bog holes no choice really....

Driving home warning lights popping up like a Christmas tree...from left to right oil can low warning light came on the Fuel Tank Light ,Clean or Replace filter and the A/T Oil temp lights were all on.... Oh and the most important light the Voltmeter DISCHARGE LIGHT was on.... I have a Piranha Dual Batt System and main bat was 11.5 Volts ( )

Do you think the submarine driving stuffed the Alternator... Has any body come across this array of lights on the dash board before?

Can some one point me in the right direction for a service manual so I can do some tests too....

Thank you in advance

Check your charging rate, it should be up at 14 volts.

May have got mud on the brushes in the alternater making bad contact?

Alt is the prob most likely, Usually you will get several warning lights come up when the alt light comes.
