Hi all
I am wanting information on the 4wd System Snorkel.
1) What is the build quality like? e.g fading, looks, leaks etc
2) How easy to DIY
3) Would you buy another one?

Re: 4wd System Snorkel
1) quality's not bad, no fading, etc. after several years, never leakedSimey wrote:Hi all

2) check template against actual snorkel before drilling. I checked first luckily and it was out by around 15mm.
Where snorkel fits to inner guard skin/meets existing ductwork could be better (don't know if others are any different??) - Self-tapping screws and silicon work though
There's a coping on inner guard which can be a biatch to remove - applies to any snorkel
3) I have no regrets but will be putting a s/steel one on soon purely for the bling factor
just remember to check template and follow this advice: "measure twice, cut once" and you'll have no dramas

I fitted one to a gu and will not reccomend them, poor quaity, bad sealing tubes, estrictive compaired to others ect.
Spend the extra on a safari (my preference) or airtech. If you see the airflow side by side with safari or airtech you can see the difference. The plastic has a more open grain and is not finished aswell.
Search for airflow snorkels, there have been threads on them before.
