Removing FRP top
has any one taking the roof there middy and is so whats got to be done. i guess remove rear doors, although theres a wrecker up the road that has a bundy with soft top and i want the door of the back of that. has anybody cut it and removed the rear section from behind the front seats. sort of ute like. alougth i have back seats and rear rollbar. just wanting some ideas and if anybody has done this. but it needs to be able to get sealed up in winter. thanks chris
HZJ73, lifted, crawler gears, double locked, sitting on 35's
I took my frp top of the other weekend to replace it with a newie.
Basically theres four bolts along the front on the windscreen (top)
Four above your head behind those large round caps.
Then there four down each side of the cab (pull the lining out and up inside you'll find 4 each side)
There are two down the rear you can visibly see.
Then if you pop the FRP badges off you'll find one bolt in either side.
Then it lifts off easy as
Hope this helps - if my digi cam was working I'd take some pics of the locations

You have to remove the bolts along the top of the wind screen and the ones along the top of the rear tub, for these ones you must remove the trim and come up from the bottom, there are also 2 sneeky bolts that screw into the roll bar behind the "FRP" badge, and I think there may be a few that go up through the roll bar (I don't put them back in, so I dont remember).
You will need Bundera rear doors (2 peice), and to do the job properly get the front doors as well, good luck it is well worth the effort.
Peter.
