hey.
any tips on getting the right torque on the bolts under the intake manifold of a 1.3 ? those little suckers are hard to get to.
Also how are people getting the right torque on things that require lower than 10 lb-ft? ie the thermostat cover bolts 7-9 lbs ft. all of the torque bars i have seen dont go lower than 15lbs -ft. Is it just a matter of going just over hand tight ?

its all on feel. in our shop the only thing we would use a tension wrench for was cylinder heads. inlet manifold just do the front and rear finger tight + a bee's dick then start from the center and work your way out. go to fair tight (not f'n tight) with a 3/8 ratchet then go over them all again to get them even. bolts/nuts that are hard to get at use a variety of extensions/uni's and spanners if u have too
