Refilling hydraulics

Post by Slunnie »

I've got one of those DAWN pipe benders which has leaked. Time has come to refill it, but are there any tips on how to do this without spilling oil everywhere or refilling one drop at a time?????
Cheers

use a pump style oil can. It will take a while but will let the air out as it fills, stopping air bubbling out and spitting oil everywhere.

If it has a drain point then fill through the drain so the air can escape out the top.

Thanks for this fellas. It has a screw half way up the body and the screw that allows it to drop back down. I'll try these - PITA thing it is.
