D22 economy
D22 economy
ive just bought a neww 2008 d22 navara, wat fuel economy can i expect to have? wat mods could i do to increase the economy? and if i went to gas i know its meant to give me more power but wat would my economy be like? if people with these setups could shed some lite that would be awesome.
I have a D22 with the 3L TD and its getting around 10.3L/100 at the moment but is it pretty much driving too and from work, mostly highway.
When driving on site it gets a bit more but nothing too bad.

i think tank size is 75 litres with about 10 litres left at the e mark.
600km doesn't sound good but that may be a case of new engine and your style of driving
mods for economy, probably get rid of the muffler and cat. however first of all fit boost and egt guages.
a fan on the intercooler would help a lot to.
a catch can is very highly recommended.

fill it back up to get a rough idea of fuel used. going by the guage is a waste of time as you can fit another 5-10 litres over the full mark on the guage. also the guage doesn't read exact, it takes a long time to go throught he first half and quicker to go through the 2nd half.mickyd555 wrote:i reset the trip meter filled it up and have done about 450km on half a tank so i guess my original estimate was out a bit.
