Thats exactly it. I have "windows" to do this type of work in and it would cut time down by a rediculous amount. There are some parts available locally, especially for Toyota etc, though they are crazy expensive here.

This type of thing would probably cut (for me) a couple of weeks of work down to probably 2 days to link something or whatever and probably cut conversion costs for business as you cut the old stuff off and weld the new bits on.

As a guide, a pair of Toy front spring hangers are about $175pr locally, where something similar is $20US (say $60AU landed).

Its also the range and quality though... a one stop shop. Its just a shame there isn't anything here that I know of that is like it.

Hey mate I am starting an Australian equivalent. I have one gusset and one spotlight tab so far. Its dear to start off as I have to buy 200 of each to get pricing realistic. If you have something specific I can work with the laser cutters / cnc folders to get your desired result.

I to have been trying to get a similar sort of business setup.

I have shock tabs, coil over tabs to suit 1.5 & 1.75" tube.

4 Link chassis brackets to suit patrol a mung things.

I just finished this prototype. I'm sending it down to Chris for fitting and testing. Once I know everything is good this is one of many projects we are working on that will go into production.

This is an upper rear shock mount. Production will done in Au.

Pics of the gussets? I've been looking on US sites and the gussets are cheap but I'd rather support someone local.

There are a few of us on here that cut and supply laser cut brackets and tabs, it has been purposely quiet over the past 6 months due to the increased cost of steel, however the prices have reduced somewhat so keep an eye out in the for sale section from time to time.

An if you do need anything custom done, both Bubs and myself are happy to give you comparative quotes for it.

So to answer his Q there are a bunch of people that can organize to have stuff cut out for u but there is no place where u can scroll through the tabs and order some of this and a few of them and several of those.

Exactly, the market out here is not big enough to warrant stocking all the items like ballistic, btf, aafab etc in the states do. Although my range of items is small, I have 1000's tied up in stock between tabs, shackles etc.

a lot of fabricators can do this sort of work, but would be no where near that sort of price. 99% of that stuff is mass produced laser cut/ cnc then welded together.
it would cost hundreds of thousands if not millions to get that sort of range and at a reasonable price.
and there is just not enough demand to put that sort of money up front

here`s an idea, you dont need to keep all the brackets in stock, just have a web site, with all the picutures of the brackets, tabs etc, when some orders them, you just cut them and send them out,

Thats what I would have thought to . If they are not welded then they can also be flat packed. Laser cutters are exy though.

I have had quotes from laser cutters for 100 units. Then decided to order 200 units and the cost has been less than the total cost for 100 units

Me thinks they thumb suck the price

if you want an australian version of that site, just add an extra 0 to the prices.

I'm finding a fair bit of that from materials suppliers. It makes it fricken hard to forecast when the prices depend on a combination of the weather, the time of day, who you speak to and where we're up to in the lunar cycle. :bad-words:

we do this sort of work as our bread and butter. Price goes significanly lower as qty goes up as it's all based on set up times.

the more you order the more they can run with out changing material/ lens for laser cutter, or changing out tooling in a Break press, and no one makes money during set ups, so they charge more for less parts.

Best bet is make to order and charge a bit more for the small aussie market, unless it's a high moving part.

IF anybody has any designs shoot me a drawing or dxf and i can get some cut and folded for you, or supply a quote.
