Rejuvinating rubber trims

What do you use to rejuvinate external rubber trims? In particular the thick rubber trims on the roof of an early 90's vitara, Every time I brush up against it or my chamois hits it I end up with black over everything.

Silicone spray?
Tyre black?

Some car waxes actually buff up rubber pretty good if it's not too far gone, but if it's gone all grippy the sun's really got to it and there's not much you can do.

I have used armour all on it and were as it brings the colour back it doesn't stop the black colour transfer when I touch it.

Maybe try sealing them with vinyl paint?

Just about any rubber will do it, it needs to be UV stabilized...

olive oil - no joke =) i've used it on all the rubbers on my zuk and its worked a treat... i gave it a few really decent coats wiping it over with a paper towel and leaving it in the sun to heat up and soak in. only now after a year are they starting to look a little grey again.

car plan make a trim reviver by the name of "rubber and trim wax" it works very very well . i have brought back a few rubberised spoilers from the dead by just using the stuff consistently for a while.

Thanks Iv'e got 2 vitara's and on both the rubbers are visually ok, its just the black transfer that pees me off. I'm going to try some of the ideas offered and see what works best, stand by.
