MQ diff qtn

Post by get it up there »

hey peoples!! My mate has a 85 SWB mq, and has a slight prob!! His drivers side wheel is leaning in at the top.. shit loads!! First thing we did was check the king pin bearings and the wheel bearing.. their all fine. We are starting to suspect a bent diff housing. Looking at it, it seems near impossible to do.. cause if it is bent, it has somehow bent the shortest section!! (the shorter axle tube). Is this a common prob?? And if it is, any solutions on strenghtening it for the future.. cause i read on here that they have got cast housings?? Thanks heaps!

put it on a wheel alignment machine, see how far inwards it's facing (get a camber reading)

do it so you can get a measurement of the camber angle, then you can investigate further what the issue might be
