Was thinking one in front of another, Would that pose a problem with the radiator? Should i just run without one and add Coolant to the oil?

while we are talking tech, I am thinking of changing my wheels from 35x12.5's to 175/14's on a 17 inch rim. I think I may have to change my diff ratios to 17.14:1 so what ratio should I change to in the transfer case fitted (with blue tac I might add) on the front diff. should it be the same as the extra trasnfer case on the front diff? or the one on the roof rack?

yeah it sould all be sweet, you need lift the mounts off the rails, otherwise if you use 2MM blocks, you will crack the pan/mounts, and it will knock when you take off. just lift it and leave the bumpers at std height - it will let air flow through and keep the motor coolier. do you have pics??bogged wrote:Thanks.. I found it to be too rigid for offroad work... Where you want the chassis to flex, and the suspension to stay still.. I went with paddle pop sticks cut in 1/4's and taped to gether.. Have had no issues so far, completing 12 tuff truck challenges, and 40 OBC's... top 1 position in all of them.tna racing wrote:would a pvc chassis be better?

Hey Bogged, if you want chassis flex then you need to get rid of the paddle pop sticks (as good as they are) and use the plastic straws with the flexible neck. at the moment Ive got a blown head gasket on my Maverick and think it may have been cause i made it from the wrong gasket paper! should i have used cornflake packet instead of coco pops?
and when Ive got my windows down i hear a real loud humming noise from the tyres but when the windows are up and stereo on i cant hear em, is there a reason why?

The coco pops are made from a 1 sided 295gsm castcoated paper while the cornflakes are made from a stronger 360gsm Artboard which gives any motor a guaranteed 173 kw at the wheels.
Easy mistake to make mate
Not sure about the window noise though, try it at night see if its any better.
