diff lock in front!!!problems??
Hey guys I have just fitted a lockright I brought second hand in the front of my 60.Me being a lazy prick didnt take much notice and fitted it without doing ne thing to it as it was complete in the center but now it does not seam right a mate has one and can feel it when the hubs are in but can drive it round ok on road or off road with the hubs in but I can barly turn even on gravel has anyone had this problem before? I think it my need adjusting(re shiming to correct clearance) but thought I would ask hear if ne one has the same sorta probs before????? I cant even turn it on the road at all and it makes no noise at all u can hear is the tyres skidding as u turn (like it is locked all the time and not freewheeling when u turn)any idears?????????
Autolockers (they should be called auto-unlockers) are designed to lock your diff all the time and only unlock to allow the outside wheel to spin faster when you need to go round corners.
I've got a lokka in the front and lockright in the rear and I have similar issues that you have with the rear when on road (2wd, hubs unlocked). It is very reluctant to unlock and will make the tyre skip.
I don't feel the same issues with the lokka though. The steering is a bit heavier but I am still able to corner ok.

Mine did this. I was ready to rip it out and re-check everything, and then after one good wheeling trip it seemed to "bed in" and now works as it should.Jacked wrote:its just tight. may free up with a bit of use, probably wont though
put it in the rear and have fun with it!
