Hi all,
I've heard it is possible to fit AU twin thermos to a 80 series radiator. Is this correct, if so how much work involved.
Any info appreciated. Thanks

Hey rossco.
yeah, its possible. i ran twin au fans on mine. just gotta have a relay and a thermo switch. (unless you just hook the relay up to the ignition wire) they are pretty cheap. think i did it all for around 120 bucks. makes your car a little quieter. didnt really notice much else.
from memory (talking nearly 4 years ago) i had to grind the shroud down a little so it would fit flush to the radiator. and had to spin the top radiator hose so the radiator side becomes the thermostat housing side. cant exactly remember how i fixed it to the radiator but it wasnt hard.

I just fitted VT commodore fans on mine, They fitted perfectly. Had to trim a bit off the top and the bottom, But the shroud was the exact same size as the core, And the commo fans have mounting tabs on the side, which perfectly lined up over the edge of the side bracket on the radiator, So just had to drill some holes and bolt it on.
Just make sure you use the V8 fans, as they pump more air.
