Rally 4000's - Adjusting them?

Anyone know how to align these things?

They fit rigid to the bullbar unlike the lightforces with a seperate bracket that you can tilt with.. so dont tilt up and down that way but where the globe goes appears to be slotted, I could be wrong???

You must have different rally 4000's then me. underneath my lights are 2 "thumb" screws, which can be tightened with allen key, provides all the adjustment.

My rally's are the same as this with the thumbscrews. The base is a cup shape so you can slide the bucket of the light around to give you adjustment. Usually you get an allen key in the box with the lights.

I got mine used off the board here, came with nothing. (need covers to :()


What I mean is LF have a hinge Where the blue nyloc nut is.
You tilt up and down with that.


The Hella is just 1 bolt coming out of the bottom of the body - you cant tilt up and down undoing that 1 bolt...

So the 2 Round things with allen heads are the adusters... Interesting. Will sus it out.

If you look at my pic closely enough, obviously there is a wide base plate, then on the round part of the light there is a bulge out each side at the bottom, thats where the big thumb screws are, all the adjustment needed. i have never seen one like yours. it wont even adapt.

EDIT: having a closer look at yours, seems you have them to? back them off slightly to adjust. Dont undo them completely, PITA to put back together!

Yea got the answer sorted, with the 2 large round things with allen head on em, loosen and tilt...
will have a go tomorrow night at camp.

Has anyone managed to make em water proof yet??? Apparently everyone says they are like teh sponge...:(

Yes we are HID'ing Rallye 4000's and they work a treat. So far no water problems - and certainly not because of the HID anyway.

Got the HID kit to go in em yet..

Bogged I have had 50w HID in mine since I got them. Work a treat and a much nicer spread beam than anything the LF240 would put out.
I havent had water in mine yet. But I haven't had them under water either. But on my current car they are mounted on the veritcle part of the bullbar. So the drain hole isnt at the bottom like they should and havent had any issues in the 18mths of them being mounted like that.
Also the car lives outside, so gets all the weather.

If I was driving lots of water I would most likely block this drian hole. Then drill a new one so I can use a bung instead.

I have fitted mine with 6000k 35W GE Kit. Got a spot and a spread.

Would like to get rid of the spot and put a spread or even the fog/cornering lens in.

no they are not water proof but if you have a quality kit the water will not hurt the globes or ballast if they are shit kits who know we have kits that fit in side the light and have a 2 year warrant on globes and ballast all so if you get muddy water in them you can just wash them out with some warm soapy water then air dry the lens with the globe you can clean them with a mediwipe we had a set full of water on the first day of the out back Challenge in 06 the water was in them for about 9 day be for cleaning them and the lens did not go black like other brands they are still as good as new today
