35"x15" on a GU... will it fit?

Post by CHUUBZ »

I'm picking up a 1998 GU Patrol DX this week and I have some 35x12.5x15 Baja Claws, I THINK I remember reading somewhere that 16" are minimum on the GU so therefore just wondering weather the tyres I have will fit or not? And suspension isn't an issue as it has a 6" suspension lift

Thanks guys

all depends on if it clears the brake's or not, from memory it was GUII and onwards that had the bigger brakes?

The tyres are Mickey Thompson Baja Claws 35x12.5x15 on 15x8 reverse offset (Wombat Offroad) rims. And the car is a 1998 Nissan Patrol GU, DX 4.2L NA Diesel

I currently have Cooper STTs in 35x12.5R15 on my 98 GU PATROL DX TD42 and they fit fine. I have 15x8 King wheels in Landcruiser offset (-23 or thereabouts).

A.J, got any pics. I thought that Cruiser offset was too much. Sat some on mine the other day and they stuck out too far. Many had already told me though.

Yeah they fit no worries. I have extended my flares with garden edging though. But only 15mm each side. You could get away without it though.

Here some pics mate:

late models with big brakes are the ones that have issues. eg 4.8 etc.
