Front and rear diffs MUST be same ratio or nasty/expensive noises will happen.
Centre will fit as coopster has said if from a beam axle front.

best thing to do is remove the blown diff put both on the ground next to each other and count the teeth on both the pinion and crownwheel of both diff's
if they are the same they are the same.

Sorry but ratios are different. Assuming neither have ever been changed from factory-
ln106 is 4.3-1
and your first generation diesel 4 runner is a 4.56-1

The ratio is written on the crown wheel.

LN106 G52 (2.8D) lux is 4.33 ratio
LN130 G52 (2.8D) 4runner is 4.33 also.
RN106 G52 (2.4P) lux is 4.88. 99% sure

Where are you located? I have a mate with a spare 4.33 LN106 diff. If your within driving distance of the Gold Coast Ill c if he wants to sell it, if your interested of course.
