im sorting out the bits to do my conversion into a gq using a vy ls1 and auto just wondering what people have done with exhaust manifolds, marks do a set for $1000 is it worth the money or is there a better cheaper option?

also i would like to here peoples thoughts on marks mounting kits is it worth buying and whats the difference between the ls1 kit at $1000 and the ls2 kit at $650, these are both to suit electric fans. fabricating mounts isnt to much of an issue and from what ive seen marks need to be welded on any way and dont seem to use rubber mounts or anything

any other tips would be great

make your own engine mount's they are easy as to do i will post some up in the next day or two. Marks exhaust kit is a good start if you get them custom built you will be up for a bit of cash???.how the marks mounting kits are not that strong at all so be carefullly of that if you are going to race it.if the vy was fly by wire . buy a cable trottle body and a rear pick up sump / move the diff forward 10mm so you get more sump room . hope that help

Ive got a VY in my GU. Cable throttle body is a win ;). Theres alot in it hey. I hope youve done alot of your homework.

Get a rear drop sump with pick ups. I had all my exhaust custom made for $1500 which is cheap considering there is hardly any room. Engine mounts arent hard if you know what your doing. Marks adaptor parts work great. Get a 4 core alum radiator and twin thermals with shrouds and make it nice and sealed. Like i said alot in it.
