Hilux grinding noise

Post by kanookie »

about 2 weeks ago my 4x4 stoped working i think it may be one or both of the hubs now i was driving along in 2wd at 100ks i heard this bang then when slowing down and driving along slowly i can hear this grinding noise coming from the passeneger side what could it be? i dont know too much about the front end so is there anything i can check before i have to take it to a mechanic? even anything i can take out to stop it only really need 2wd atm and fix it all up when i have the cash.

thanks
