240volt power for fridges

I have noticed many power packs are now 240volt to 13.8 volt (as opposed to the power pack I got with my fridge 240 volt to 12volt).
Would it be correct to assume that these power packs would be OK to use for a fridge ?

Also if your fridge has a max draw of say (hyperthetically) 4amps what damage if any would a 13.8 volt 10 amp power supply do,if any?

fridges designed to run on 12v have quite a reasonable tolerance to voltage changes. If they are designed to be portable as car fridges, unless they have some kind of expensive voltage controlling regulator, (and ive never heard of one that does), they will all run on 13.8v perfectly. Especially given a normal vehicles charging system runs between 13 and 14 volts, and batteries can drop as low as 8 before they cark it.

Higher voltage up to a point will also reduce the current draw on the power supply. So you cant really go too wrong with a 13.8v 10a supply.

I use a 240v to 13.8v power supply for my fridge (Evakool) and have had no problems.
