Anyone had experience with the single twin barrel Weber???

Is it the same as the old Escort 2 litre carby???

I remember tuning my old RS2ooo and the carby was SIMPLE. Too much crap on the Zuk one.

I have heard that a webers don't like to run past 45 deg.

I knew of a 13b powered dune buggy that had to switch from weber to SU as apparently SU carby's will run all angles including upsidedown.

They (SU) are a bugger to tune though apparently.

Forget it they are useless for 4wding they stall out when on angle's even less than 45 deg.

SU are a little rich running but are so simple as to be (almost) idiot proof. Which makes them just right for zooky owners, right?
To change the running characteristics you just change the needle. The needles all have a number stamped on them and you can make them richer or leaner through just one third of the needle stroke if so desired.
No little jets and passages. Just a main jet which doesn't require changing and the needle. The float bowl is remote and fuel flows from the bottom of the float bowl to the main jet at the bottom of the carb body.
If you flood the float bowl gas just goes out to waste and not into the motor.
It's also possible to change characteristics by using thin or heavy oil in the dash pot to slow or speed up the slide which is activated by the vacuum of the throat of the carb.
As I said, simple.

Hey... I like the SU's....

I know my datto went heaps better on twin Su's than on the holley.... every time I slid it sideways around a corner the holley didn't cope with the fuel sloshing around but it was never a problem with SU's.....

I'd say the holley and the weber will be pretty similar in this regard.


What I really wanna see on a Zook is quad Suzuki GSXR motorcycle carbies..... Ultimate SU's and keep it Zook as possible :D
