All I know is that some idiots were in my shed at 2am grinding and welding and carrying on. I was lying in bed trying to work out what (and who) had broken and needed welding at 2am. I had to get up and have a look and it was bobtail and POS welding v8grunts relay box back together.

Also heard that BJ was doing some good donuts in some guys back yard (which pissed him off) and then v8grunt tried to out do him. And then something about the coppers and something about cancelling the last stage. The rest was a blur.

I broke a steering relay shaft, mick and POS drove back to sams and welded it back together, while they were gone I helped bubs recover his hilux which was close to rollover .we used a strap and a suzuki to lower it back to level ground. I got home at about 5am this morning. good run home "fast".

glen

oh and bj and I got into trouble for useing the organisers back padock as a speedway track, very special considering it was a slow event in a quiet zone opps.

I was officialling checkpoint 2 for the night, just off the side of the road at Canungra, no major carnage in my CP. We had one zook on his side, a couple of unlocked's get a bit hung up needing recovery, one snapped drive shaft, and Nick's front shaft came apart at the slip joint TWICE during the CP. To his credit but, he reversed and drove the left side of the CP in 2wd all the way to the top. Top effort. Still scored zero but!!
Of the 20 cars that reached my CP, 14 of them drove it clean. This CP is much easier in the dry. The last time we used it, it was p!ssing down raining, I was naving in a zook, and we fell on our side 3 times during the CP! And we still managed to finish with points. Only 5 of about 25 cars sucessfully drove the CP that night.

:finger: you and mick are a bad influence on me 8)

NOT TO MENTION i would have expected a far more mature approach from a couple of old rover blokes

rather than the, hey bj is not that bad, hell, it could have been worse, he could have had a V8  then the roar of the V8, and carving it up just as bad ;)

Also i hear Bubs didnt fair to well either?

I found out today that i blew a CV - hmm :?

What i did do - CP 1
CP 2 Part 1- got 50-60% of the way unlocked - apprently i did well for an unlocked.
CP 2 Part 2 - drove my hill on the first attempt - even with my passengers saying i would :finger:
CP 3- didn't try
CP 4 - need lockers

between CP 4- and the end i got passed the do not exceed 30 degrees on my altimeter - once i was anchored i drove out backwards - after stuff around winching and shit

what i did do

Rear bar - bent some more
Flares - wait for my product review on Duraflares - you know the ones which flex and dont break :finger:
Parabolics - both rears are now at the same ride hieght - fronts still unmarked - i will stand by my fronts - rears can be stuffed unless you have a track bar or run overloads and dont wheel it real hard

Lessons learnt

Air Lockers is what i need
