FJ45 - brake light

Post by twr7cx »

I found this brake and park brake light pannel behind the dash (not connected) of my FJ45:

At first I thought previous owner must have left it there and it was from another vehicle, but the other day when looking up 40 series parts on eBay I came across a listing for 1 saying it was from a 40 series Cruiser. I can't see anywhere in my dash that it would fit though. Plus there's already this brake light in my dash:

There's no globe or wiring to this brake light though. Does anyone know where behind the dash I'd be able to find it? I can see on the park brake there is a switch and 2 wires, which join into the main wiring loom, but I can't see them coming out anywhere!

oh i see, where that current brake light/switch is on your dash is where that above light will sit. Does the light work? if so, you have no need for the above red one.

Hmmmm... So I doubt it's from my vehicle then since I don't have a rectangle hole in my dash for it.
