Group Buy: Maxi Xfer Gears **HOLY FARK - THERE'S 10**

Post by Micka »

As per the other post that we all hijacked, we are proposing a group buy of Maxi-Drive transfer gears from M.R. Automotive. Talks with them up until this point have put the price at around $1200 for the gears alone.

I will be going to see them next week for a firm price on each set: 30% and 49%. But this price is going to be dependant on the number of buyers - obviously the more of us there are the better the price per unit.

So...I need a list of who is in. Base your decision on the price being $1200, so that way, we can go to them with real numbers of buyers in our group.

Please copy'n'paste your name to the list below if you are in. This is set to be the official list, so if you put up, be prepared to pay up.

Micka - 49%
HIJACK - 49%
Nottie - 30%

Take into account Micka that a few may be away on holidays so will not be able to respond in time before you go see them.

Yeah I know...just trying to give people a good deal of notice to put some pennies aside.

I will try to get a price for 5, 10, 15 and 20 people in the group buy, so that however many people we end up with we should be right.

Jeff, you do realise that Micka wants solid buyers? so if your name is in the list you accept the fact you will need to pony up the $$$ yeah.

OK i will be in for the 49%. My case is all in bits as i was about to fit all new bearings to it but instead found a heap of teeth missing on the main ( centre) gear assembly. So will need the reduction gears to replace the broken ones. ;)
Micka we may have a heap more keen to buy in on the AULRO forum.

I think freight will have to be priced as well for the ones that are further away.

Are MR making the 49% gears now, I heard they were only doing the 30's.

Love to buy but have other financial commitments and I'm not keen on wasting money on the Rangie I have ATM as I am planning on keeping it long-term (waiting for a good 91-92 Vogue auto to come my way, have til oct when the rego runs out).

Maybe next time. Hope you get a good deal.

Yeah Trav they are doing both

You could allways do what a few of us are doing and thats build up a real good LT for a decent project. Then when you have the right truck then put it in

That's good, I prefer the 49's for the suto anyway, you need all the gearing you can get with autos as you know :D

As I said, love to but my money has to be used elsewhere atm.

you pussies! I like the thrill of going fast downhill!!!

And I also do a bit of fast low range work where the 49% would just be too slow.

I figure I was happy with my 3.5 with stock gearing on 37s, So my 3.9 with 4.11 and 30% tcase reduction will prob be a bit to slow for me
