You can weld to the chassis, I personally like the 80 series chassis 75 series body combo. There is a number of these built and engineered here in qld.Barno111 wrote:Mate tuff looking truck you have there! Im up in Queensland so we cant weild to the chassis! I wish i had the money to buy a 79 series! i was thinking of the 80 series chassis but how hard is it to mount the cab on the chassis! i was always under the impression that you couldnt weild onto the chassis of a car in queensland!

the rear is piss easy to do !
are you going o do it yourself? if not it would be cheaper to sell yours and get a 79.
buying an 80 chassis and all the shiz that goes with it would be a killer to buy un less you get lucky of course.
i dont know about qld but im guessing you would start with an engineer

1uzed and no home for it
If i was going to do it i would do it myself and if i needed help i would go ask the bloke just up from me who does body conversions and six wheel conversions and stuff! A 79series is out of the question! too much! Like my ute is fine as it sits now im just thinking later one i might want to put coils under it!
