Replacement hubs for GQ's original ones?

Post by pato castro »

A friend has a Patrol with the original hubs and seems that they are starting to fail, and the original ones are damn expensive (about $580 u.s. dollars each one!) and looking at the pictures in this forum there are some GQ's with other kind of hubs, what make and model are those?

Does he have a locker? If he has stick to genuine. I blew up a few different brands with the locker in the front of the MK. If it is an open dif try ARB AVM or ORA from TJM if they still do them.

I assume with that than the original ones are the best, like the Aisin in toyotas?

Factory hubs are the strongest, seen too many aftermarkets fail even with open diffs. Can you rebuild the factory ones? How'd you wear them out? Give them a good clean out & regrease.
