I've always wanted to do a Sierra drag car with a boosted G13B rwd only and lightened. That this is cool in it's own little way.

Ah hater limits. How about a bit of "credit where credit is due" here fellas.

With the amount of time/effort/cash that dude has put in to his car he is to be commended. Just because you would do it differently doesn't mean it's shit or a waste.

After his efforts he has a fast, different, and totally sleeper weapon that I imagine would be fun as to drive, and more importantly, it's what he wanted.

Is it a show car? No. Is it the fastest car in the world? No. Does it deserve to have shit heaped on it by people who probaly wouldnt even know where to find the 710 cap on their engines? Fark no.

This is a big reason why outers has a "reputation" these days which overclouds it's value as the best hardcore forum in Aus. If outers went the way of 4wda or, even worse, BC, then I would have to find somewhere else to go in between porn surfing sessions. :D

I personally wouldn't build it but I definitely would drive it. Good on him for doing what he wanted.

Gonzo, I usually think the same about BC, too many young ricer tough guys with their heads up their arse but I have to say that I was impressed this time.

MUD-PIGSIERRA, I'd be interested to see it on the strip too. With his wheelbase and that amount of power I imagine traction would be his biggest hurdle.

Does posting a 2wd rice burner on a hardcore 4x4 forum open you to ridicule? YES!

Fair enough, but with the all too common "will this engine fit in my zook?" threads I think it was warranted.

Plus giving the OP a ribbing is fine by me but shooting down the vehicle seems a bit churlish.

Not to mention that it is good tech.

No it doesn't.

Its good tech! shows that an sr20det fits quite well in a vitara.

ok its a 2wd version because the guy wasn't after a fast 4wd!

but using the right gearbox and transfer combo then this would be a killer combo! and upgraded diffs

although I personally would not be keen on expensive internal upgrades if I were to 4wd it, water would make short work of all the time and cash that went into it!

I dont understand why people bag the shit out of everything that come on here! if you don't like it just ignore it! everything could be bagged for one reason or another! I don't like half the trucks on here because its not the way I would build them. but for whatever reason people build them that way its their choice!

the only thing I hate is people who continually do dumb things like asking the same Q's over and over!

and that vitara is a great sleeper!

Personally , i liked what they did , something out of the square .

What i have problems coming to grips with is their outrageous power claims (estimated). I think the guy will be dissapointed when he gets his dyno readout , which i estimate 1/3 less than their "estimate" of 350 brake horsepower.

kudos for him to do it and it looks like a well done job with all the good gear.

you dont know much about sr20's do you???

i recon 250+ rwkw wouldn't be to much of a question from that set up!

So you reckon he'd get it in there when the car has a front diff?

The day that thread comes along it'll be all beer and skittles. Till then I will keep laughing at the silly boy racer

the guy who built this car did not post a 2wd ricer urner on a hardcore 4x4 forum, member of the forum deemed it worthy enough that some people may like it so it is not the owner or builder you should be ridiculing here anyway

You need to grow up and shut your mouth before you act like the guru of all motors and power figures. How many passes down the strip do you have? Care to post some time slips? No? Then STFU.

And as it's been said this has a tech side to it, alot moreso than some threads in this section. Also as mentioned don't shitbag the owner for someone else posting his car in a hardcore 4wd thread thinking it had some relavence, which IMO it does.

And Gonzo, have you ever driven a car than can do more than a 20 second 1/4 mile?
