How to remove Suzuki GV 2005 front facia

Post by grazza »

Can anyone help me removing the front facia from a 2005 GV (older shape) - the part that holds the heater controls and surrounds the radio.

I have the updated dash in the last of the older GV's.

I have removed the 2 screws from the bottom of the facia and levered the facia off the dash, about 2cm, but cant get it off any further and removing the heater control knobs does not seem to help.

So before I accidentally break anything I thought I would ask...

Background:
I want to get the Suzuki-Clarion stereo head unit out so I can look at the back of it, to see what sort of connector is used to attached to the CD changer. Like C-BUS or CNET. I dont have a CD changer but I have seen some info on using the changer input for an MP3 player - i.e. like an AUX in - i.e. fool the head unit into thinking it is playing a CD from a changer.
