recognise this zook?
I recently bought this ute off ebay from some bloke in frankston (currently in bad shape and in pieces) pics are of it togetherish'. . .
The bloke i bought it off could'nt give me much information about the car and i was buying it on the basis of what i could see. Just wondering if anyone had any history or new where it came from/ where its been. My understanding is it originated in queensland?
Info appreciated . . . Tom

Hey guys,
The grille was cut for highmount, and it does have lux diffs. And i have spoken to an engineer, the idea of me buying this zook was to have it engineered for road use (to try and achieve the impossible). I am writing up some documentation on specifications and engine torques for the engineer before he comes out to have a look. The engineer did'nt say he would'nt do it but im not sure how easy it will be.
Some extra info: in pics on 37"s, lux diffs 4.8, has 103" wheelbase, 4link front 3link a frame rear, 14" shox. I was intending to put a ca18det in it with auto. it actually came with that engine.
Intend on doing an under 10k finish build and in all honesty i bought this with engine package and auto, complete rolling chassis for $4000

If its the guy I'm thinking the owner may have worked at ironman on westall road as I was chatting to him about some zook he was building down franga way. I don't know much about it but it looks sweet. good luck with the engineer keep us updated.

I didn't believe it either but the part comes in from Maruti so it's a current production part, not old stock. That's the facia only, not the headlight trims.

Sorry for being slack. Have now finished gusseting the diffs, painted and now the rolling chassis is complete. Now for the engine.
I did speak to an engineer, closest was Laurie Sparke i think in east keilor. When i initially spoke to him he was quite good and asked for some tech info on the three different vehicles i had parts from. I sent him a large document including pictures and what not. I was then waiting for him to reply to give me the go ahead or to come and see the car and he ignored me.
Thus i gave up then decided to just go ahead with the build, get it engineered once it is finished.
Will do build thread soon!

Re: recognise this zook?
Anyone know anything about this?
Be great to see if he got it up and running on the road?
Or how to get in contact with him?
