Sierra radiator upgrade
In my old Zuk a very 1.6 working hard pulling heavy 35's etc, never really had overheating issues unless there was nill airflow through the rad (IE it was soild with mud) and the ambient temp was high.
Proper fan shroud and factory engine driven fan.
Simple, effective and relaible.

Can anyone confirm if the plastic tanked late WT radiator is the same as the coily radiator?
My 93 plastic tanked WT has split so it's time for a new one. None of the rad shops I've spoken to have a seperate listing in their books for the 2 different WT rads, but have a seperate coily listing. Is this my rad?
Just want to make sure I only have to order once, and so I don't have fan shroud and bracket issues when I get it.
Wrecked out my old 91 late last year and gave away a perfectly good metal tanked rad/brackets and shroud. Never thouht I'd need it.

Problem solved. Bit of info for others.
The Motorkool rads (same as listed on eBay) are alloy core/plastic tanked rads. They have slotted mount holes and seem to fit with both sets of brackets. I have both brass rad and plastic/alloy rad brackets and they both work with this radiator. Catch is that the plastic tanked shroud WILL be required. As listed in another thread, the shroud fitted as original to brass rad cars is different and will not fit.

i use a commodore thermo, I don't like the sound and drag of a mech fan! and I find I can keep it cooler with the thermo! thermo adds more strain to the alternator
the thermo is the exact right size to cover the whole radiator! has been used on all my sierras.
I got it from a mate that is a panel beater. they replace them after accidents if they are cracked in the outer plastic! doesn't effect the fan though and is very cheap ie free!
