Hilux mods
Hey all, Starting to mod the lux. Can someone let me know what else needs to be done when i add some 2 inch oversize shackles, apart from extend brake lines & 3 degree castor wedges. Car so far has only 2inch spring lift & 31 tyres, its a 94 dual cab lux. Thanks.

That seems fine.
But why the extended shackles?? 31's should not be a problem with 2" lift. I ran 33's on my 4runner with just 2" springs and pounding of the firewall seem - only had slight rubbing on extreme articulation
Chris.
Dont forget that you will probably need longer shockies.
I reckon Ranchos are the go. I have 9000s all round and they work well.
After you chuck on the extended shackles go find a ramp (or simmilar just anything to drive one corner up onto) and flex up your lux with no shockies on and take some measurments between your shock mounts on the compressed side and the extended side. And then take these when shopping for shocks.

G.T. L You maybe able to get away without extending your brake lines by relocating your brackets from the top of the chasis to the bottom or side BTW just a money saving idea
Lockers or Knockers ,both will make for fun.
