From my limited knowledge they would be the thingy that the hub pivots on.
Why would you need adjustable?
I didnt think they where adjustable, you just got different offset bearings.
I am guessing depending how the IFS susp arms are set up. When lift the wheel may not be sitting square with the road (little camber).
Similar on a live axle that has been jumped and the acle is bent. Offset king pin bearings can be used to adjust the camber.
Pretty sure thats right. if it isnt. Pls delete.

you don't get offset bearings you get offset pins. they adjust the camber of the wheel, something which is set and non adjustable on live axle vehicles from the factory.

are you talking live axle or ifs?
the king pin is the swivel point to allow steering on a front diff.
on a live axle car you can use an offset king pin to change the angle of the wheel to the axle. for fine tuning of camber.
jeeps need this because they set the castor to suit left hand drive roads, nissans need it because altho they are built strong the axles typically have a few degrees variation on both castor and camber from the factory. its also useful to allign a car with a bent diff or induce certain handeling/steering effects.
on an ifs car you use either camber pins or shims to correct camber they are at the chassis end of the front wishbones. done because of suspension height, or many of the same reasons as live axle. but they dont typically have king pins as such, more ball joints

some vehicles are designed with thier home country in mind...sometimes they have more camber in the construction of the roads they use. we might not have the same kind of road construction so if your fussy and want to adjust your camber accordingly you can purchase camber adjustment pins.
