When I did my conversion I completely change the whole mounts. I spent the time and cut the chassi mounts out of the half cut and used the complete crown mounts. Have never had any problems with engine mounts.

I have always used the original toyota crown mounts, the first conversion the mounts were bolted into the rails (with crush tubes) broke 3 sets of 4 M12 G12.9 SHCS before I welded the mounts in. Never broke a stock rubber mount. The crown mounts are about twice the size of hilux ones.

bolt or weld a chain to either side of the mount to prevent them from stretching/trying to seperate too much I did this on mine and mounts lasted ages after that

Other option is queensland rollers at acacia ridge/rocklea go in there see the owner I have a brain fart and can't remember his name. Ask him to make you some engine mounts for your drag car (if you say it is for your every day car he wont do it) - take in the broken mount he will remove the stock neuropane stuff and put in some new stuff. My mates run these in rally cars, street cars which used to always break engine mounts. Not a single failure in any of these cars in 4 years.

They are almost solid but a 1UZ runs smooth enough that you wont notice.

Had the same problem with my old 4runner, fitted genuine toyota ones and didn't have a problem after that.

I kept the stock chassis mounts, and used the genuine V6 engine mounts.

those are crappy cheap mounts

You need to use the guenuine mounts they have a built in (catcher) so they cannot tear through they have something like fingers each side so the rubber is never subjected to too much over stretch.
