this pic is the drivers side engine mount adapter. You can see the standard chev engine mount on the top.
passenger side mount. You'll notice that it is on a different angle & is shorter than the other side, this is to locate the engine more to the passenger side for clearence from things like the diff centre & steering components.
These adapters have cutouts on them to allow them to bit fitted without fouling on the rivits on the top side of the chassis. I also have a fair bit of room behind the engine, I'd say about 4 or 5 inches from rocker to the firewall. But like I said earlier I also have changed the transmission too, but I'd imagine these would be the same mounts used in a full conversion kit. Hope this helps.

[/img]yeah mate they look similar to mine, however looking at their position on the chassis they do look like they are set forward a few more inches than mine. You may have to run a thermo fan, especially if the water pump you put on is a long shaft one.

hey does anyone know where i can buy some sheet metal to do rust repairs on my 40????
it's so damn hard to find some.
not sure of thickness yet either 0.9mm or 1.6mm
but will probably need two sheets though.
