Navara D40 service

Post by Robbo »

Have a D40 Navara diesel & need to alter the service interval indicator, have worked out how to get rid of the service due now flashing spanner but can't alter the kilometer amount. Have searched through the topics but couldn't find an entry. Thanks in advance. :)

Hmmm can't believe no one on here knows, wow that's a 1st. What about a web site others have had success with this kind of question maybe. Dealer says I have to bring it in & hook up to pc which will have a charge for doing so, I have heard this is incorrect. No surprise there.
Anyhow will keep searching the net. :?

I can reset the flashing spanner but can't change the km's from 1000 to something else.
Have tried depressing the trip reset while turning on the ignition which resets it but turning it like the manual says doesn't alter km's, have tried a number of possible combo's but no cigar. :bad-words: :bad-words:

Is this as you turn on the ignition cos it doubles as dash light dimmer when not pushed in while turning :?

For those who care I have figured it out.
Turn on the key, while distance to next service & spanner symbol are displayed (in 1st few seconds) depress the button until the distance numerals start to blink then release. Then with every press of the button the distance will start to increase, don't worry if you go past what you want to set because it will come to an end then start over at 1000 again.
Huh dealer told me it would need to get some pc input to change, thanks but I will keep the cash you were gunna charge! ;)
